Lenovo S10-2 10.1-Inch Nature Netbook - Up to 6 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

Lenovo S10-2 10.1-Inch Nature Netbook - Up to 6 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)
My 9 year old daughter loves this netbook. The size, look, and feel are great for her. There’s no office software included although a trial of MS office is pre-installed. Plan on buying the home and student version of office for kids’ schoolwork. The battery life seems very good, at least 5 hours or so. Speed is very good but boot up takes a little time (although better than windows vista). There are a lot of pre-installed offers for various services. I’d prefer that the didn’t put so much junk on the computer by default.

ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1008HA-MU17-BK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 6 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1008HA-MU17-BK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 6 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)
I decided to purchase this one because it met and exceeded my requirements for a NETBOOK. The specs on this baby match up better than most. Great keyboard and mouse, keys feel great, wireless n, fast boot, upgradeable from 1GB to 2GB, user friendly ASUS Bios updater interface, Microsoft works, lightweight. You must understand first the context of my statement. I wanted a NETbook. Not a Laptop. I didnt want an “ultimate” or Professional” version of ANYTHING running on this NETbook. I wanted it to be lean and mean. I wanted a small, powerful, convenient AND FAST NETbook for casual surfing and email. If you wanted more, your in the wrong market. I didnt buy this to play games, edit, video, watch TV or DVD’s, etc. Like I said I didn’t want a Laptop. Windows Starter 32 bit is an excellent match for a NETbook. Think of Windows 7 Starter as just that, the place to start. I figured, if I NEED an “anytime upgrade” Ill get it. At this point, having had used it for a week, I’m not changing a thing. Less is more with a NETbook. Ill save upgrades for my LAPtop and DESKtop. From when I push the power button to my first opening click of Firefox = less than one minute. I removed some preloaded crapware, i.e. ASUS whistles and bells and some preloaded games. Added Norton Internet Security Netbook Edition, and bingo, the perfect NETbook.

Gateway LT2044u 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Over 8 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

Gateway LT2044u 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Over 8 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)
I love this Ruby Red Netbook with 9+ of Battery Life with Windows 7 Starter.

I have had this computer for almost 2 months and I love it so much. It is more than I had hoped for and it has a 250 harddrive and after loading everything under the sun…including books, music, pictures, etc. I haven’t even dented the 250 bytes.

HP Mini 110-1125NR 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)
I purchased this mini computer for my adolescent in elementary school. She is extremely pleased with it and so am I. It’s just the right size comes with the web cam and easy to manipulate. Believe it or not I purchased it from the local Toy R Us, in the electronic game section, at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this lap top for young children as well as those who are tired of carrying around the regular laptop. However, it doesn’t come with a CD slot. But services the needs we wanted. Right color, right size, right price!

Acer AOD250-1842 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

Acer AOD250-1842 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Up to 8 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter)
Just bought this netbook, and when I booted it up for the first time an error message popped up. The error message said it wasn’t able to connect to a disc and to push Ctrl-Alt-Del when the disc was properly connected. Since then, I’ve always had to push Ctrl-Alt-Del in order to start up the computer. It’s quite a hassle.
