ASUS Eee 10.1″ Netbook Computer - Deep Red (1005PEB) Review

I am most impressed at the power and quality construction for the price. And, it works perfectly, as advertised - out of the box.
It comes with I.E. Explorer vers 8 browser (thanks to Windows 7). IE8 is top heavy, slow, and awkward to use. But, just when I chose to buy my Asus, Google came out with their Chrome browser which is perfect for a little portable like this one. Note: Chrome is still beta and lacks features like an ad-blocker but it is far faster than I.E. explorer. And you can’t use it to update your system files - use I.E. for those.
Litl Webbook |Internet Computer for the Home Review

The Litl is a webbook, and so it’s different from a normal computer, and takes a little getting used to. There’s no hard drive, no software on it, but there’s none to install either, which makes it really easy to use. And the introduction to the unit is so friendly and so clear, that you’ll be up and running in no time. The way it organizes webpages is really simple and intuitive, and it’s great to be able to find the places you go frequently so easily (though they do stack up pretty fast.)

Asus Eee PC T91MT-PU17-BK 8.9-Inch Intel Atom Netbook Computer (Black) Review

First, let me get this out of the way: I bought the T91MT because I didn’t want an iPad.
In addition to the T91MT, I own an iPhone and a HP TouchSmart TX2. I am sold on touch computing, and find the Tablet concept fabulous and essential. I teach, and I use the TX2 and a projector as a substitute for a smartboard, so I knew that the tablet is for me. Unfortunately, the TX2 weighs in at around 5 pounds which lead me to looking for a smaller tablet. I wanted something lightweight, portable, and handy for movies and such on the run.
Asus Eee PC 1005HA-MU17-WT 10.1-Inch Intel Atom Netbook Computer (Pearl White) Review

I ordered this product as a sort of mobile, around the house computer. It works very well for what it was intended for. The only thing I would do to this computer would be to add more memory. I also highly recommend putting XP on it as opposed to Windows 7, Starter or otherwise. It can really bog it down.

- 1 GB SODIMM memory
- 10.1″ WSVGA (1024×600) Wide Screen LCD

Asus Eee PC 1001P-MU17-WT 10.1-Inch Intel Atom Netbook Computer (White) Review

The ASUS 1001P (white) is truly gorgeous. It just looks and feels impeccably detailed and doesn’t feel flimsy. I’ll lay out a quick pro/con first before updating it later with more details/observations. Keep in mind, I’ve only had this netbook to play with for a few hours, yet it expels me to write a review, since there’s none for this particular model.
Types of laptop batteries:
Nickel-cadmium (NiCd) batteries: These were first manufactured batteries for laptops. They were relatively cheap, had high performance and versatile because they are used in a variety of products. However, NiCd batteries have now been abandoned by laptop manufacturers with the introduction of more efficient and lighter batteries.
Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries: NiMH was a big improvement on the current – Performance, reliability, efficiency, safety and capacity. The "memory effect" was the only issue with NiMH batteries, which require that they be discharged completely before recharging to gain the highest performance. These batteries are still found in older laptop models.
