I’m a student and bought this netbook for taking notes, battery life and portability. It has been wonderful. My only problem was with a faulty audio software install that made the headphone jack not function. A random reboot when trying to install printer software solved the problem. Also, the speaker is tiny and you can barely hear on full volume, so you definitely need external speakers/headphones for music or videos. The battery life is fantastic - it lasts anywhere from 6-8 hours, recharges quickly, and lasts for days when hibernating. The appearance is great, overall an excellent purchase for everyday use.

I ordered a mini NB205 with atom N280 Intel processor. It has 250G hard drive, built in web camera, several USB2 slots, an SD slot for the digital camera card, a full size keyboard, runs Win 7 starter, and is black, for about 0. I have had it for 2 months, and have been traveling most of that time, though I had a week to set it up before we left. I am very satisfied with it, especially it portability and functionality. I don’t do graphics-intensive stuff. I do WiFi email, some web surfing, Office stuff, Skype, some Bible software, and save my pictures. The only thing I am not very satisfied with is the sound quality of Skype calls, but I expected that based on reviews I read before buying it. Probably I would be happy with a headset, but then my wife cannot join the conversation with grandchildren. I still have well over 200G of space on my HD. I charge it for an hour or so in the morning after I get up, and that is usually enough for use throughout the day. I have had not problems with it. I figured out how to load software from DVDs via my laptop which is part of my home network. I have not noticed any limitations with the OS; my other PCs run XP. I recommend it for anyone who has a similar use profile.

Well, I have used the machine now for over two weeks and I am still amazed that it works so well, at least at the level of my use, in terms of office programs, adobe photoshop (opens quite fast), internet and a bit of videos. It is so light that the 9 hr battery (which weighs double the rest of the machine) seems just too much of a luxury. In the beginning Firefox made a fuss at low intensity screen size (600×800 I guess) but it worked fine. Battery holds well for 9 hours if you do not use wireless connection.

I have used this product for a month. It am satisfied in that it does everything I expected. Wifi works great, capable of doing the things my desk top does, with portability in mind. Atom processor could be faster.
This was a two part order that AMAZON in my view neatlessly screwed up. Maybe Amazon is getting to large and unable to manage the details anymore.
